How are you doing?! Yesterday I finished a new wallpaper for this month of October so feel free to downloaded as it's ... free~!!

I have drawn my two favourite dogs! Llamp, the cutest golden retriever and Bruc an oldie german shepherd~
The palette is a bit different from my usual soft colors, but I really like how the orange, brown and burgundy look together! 🧡

✿ This week's drawings

These last two weeks, I haven’t colored much. Sometimes, I’m just not in the mood, or I can’t see a clear palette that would look nice, so I keep sketching until I come up with something.

I’ll tell you a little secret: sometimes, I’m afraid of screwing up the drawing if it’s too cute!

One thing you can try when this happens is to go digital! Take a photo and try the palette on your iPad or computer, and see if you can come up with something you really like. You can also try it on a simplified version of the drawing in your sketchbook or by doing quick swatches of all the colors you want to use together.

However, don’t let that stop you from continuing to sketch!

✿ My Japanese learning journey

I really rushed through the Genki 2 book’s grammar~ like, a lot! But I wanted to start reading N4 texts, so I really needed a bit of grammar to keep going. Since I’m not good at memorizing grammar or vocabulary unless it’s in context, this was the best option for me. I love the texts at the back of Genki, especially the longer ones. 🥰
I can’t wait for the day I can start playing Animal Crossing in Japanese, even if I have to stick myself to a dictionary!
