Hii! ♥

How are you doing? It was a pretty normal week for me; nothing really stands out. I guess not every week can be amazing, but that doesn’t mean it was a bad week—far from it! :)

Yesterday, I made cinnamon buns for the first time! I’m really bad at making dough, even when I follow the recipe perfectly; it never turns out as good as it should. So, I postponed making them for a long time. The dough turned out as expected: badly shaped and slightly sticky. However, after baking, the taste was great, so it didn’t matter how ugly it looked before. I’m so happy~!

I have been practicing with a new color palette, oranges and greens. Inspired by the wallpaper I made for this month.

✿ My Japanese learning journey

I finished Genki 1 at the end of last week! Now I’m focusing on conjugations, verbs, and adjectives. I’ve never studied them properly, and although I’ve picked them up from reading and general study, I don’t want to start N4 grammar without tackling them first. I’ll be working on this throughout August, so by September, I’ll have more knowledge of the language than I’ve ever had! I’ll feel ready to move on from N5 without looking back. Yay!

It’s amazing how many more free resources are available now compared to 2019 when I first started studying (yep, I’m still a beginner after 5 years… due to, well, not studying).
