It's been a while since the last snippets! As you may have seen, I have released my first drawing course, so, for obvious reasons, I have been pretty busy.

You have no idea how much I needed this little break, to rest and get new ideas to start drawing regularly once again. It was hard not to do any work the first couple of days, but after a while I started to enjoy it and not feel guilty for not doing anything.I took a short trip to the mountains over the weekend and felt the snow, something I hadn't experienced in a while. It was amazing!

I also planned to start playing The Legend of Zelda or Hollow Knight again, but I didn't have time for either of them. Surprisingly, my short vacation week wasn't as boring as I had expected.

✿ Sneak peek into my course!

I have only shared the animals that are included in the course, but I thought it would be nice to show you a bit more of the sketches that you will find. I was very nervous while sketching some of them, since they were recorded live.

I'm a pretty slow illustrator, and I like to redo sketches as many times as I need to. But for the course, it would have been too slow, so I tried my best to draw them in the first try. A couple of them were discarded, but overall I was pretty pleased with how quickly I managed to do them.

Yesterday I also drew a couple of faces; they have big noses, but for some reason I really like to emphasise this characteristic. I think they look quite charming and the style suits me nicely. I want to colour them, but I need to get more practice with the new skin tones.

✿ Things worth sharing

A couple of weeks ago, Notion released their AI for texts and it couldn't have come at a better time. As you know, I'm Spanish and my English is not the best. Although I'm doing my part and currently studying it once again, I tend to make mistakes and rephrase sentences as if they were written in my own language. So, to have the chance to improve my grammar, as well as my misspellings, is amazing.

I never imagined it would be so useful. It's even helpful for learning English, as I can have different ways of expressing the same sentence.

So... how do I use it? I like to write the whole text myself, and then I choose the "Improve" option or the "Grammar Correction" one, depending on how much I feel the sentence needs to be improved. And then I pick the changes that best suit the idea I wanted to share with you. So it just feels like a teacher has helped me to improve it.

Since it can be overdone, I would rather just use the changes that I feel are the most accurate to my way of writing, so I still feel that my idea doesn't get changed too much.
